ADS is good but extremely difficult to use, and not user-friendly
My friend lost years before mastering it.
You should not start with ADS, unless firstly having a good ADS-instructor to teach you all tips ans tricks
Try to get AWR, a same level of difficulty as to ADS, but their documentation...
Re: Vivaldi Antenna Design
The beamwidth is propotional to the antenna's openning,
So, to make your E-beamwidth wider, you may:
1) reduce the antenna's length, or
2) reduce your's antenna flare-angle

Vivaldi antenna is "end-fire" antenna,
IMHO, it is impossible to design Vivaldi antenna with omni-directional radiation pattern .
