Hello all,
I received a Schematic created using ADS and I want to open this schematic. I found only a folder contains .tag and .oa files. How can I open it?
Im using the substrate for FEM, I defined my substrate as shown below
Two layers have different BAL, and one layer dont have BAL also the Air part.
When I dispaly FEM 3D view, the layer that i didnt define BAL have a defined Size, i dont know how it is added and the value how fixed
Then when i...
Bounding area layer on entire substrate and layers
Hello All!
When i define bounding area layer on the entire substrate, Could I make a stack that contain substrate layers with different Bounding area layer (different size)? is this logical or not???
And, Bounding area layer of substrate...
Hi all!
on Advanced Design system, we can define Bounding Area Layer of all the stack or only of some specified layers,
I'm wondering if i can create my substrate, specify Bounding area layer of the entire substrate then changing Bounding area layer of specific substrate layers?
Also, When I...
I redo the same steps 3 times: Select the structure> Flatten>Merge then export to GDSII file always the same problem. I don't know where is the problem! can you send me the workspace of the LTCC Balun to test it maybe i changed something on LAyout
Hello everybody!
I defined bounding area on substrate editor (Bounding area layer = layer 6) then i defined my board limiting box on Layout on Layer 6 (rectangular shape).
On substrate file the BAL_type is specified and BAL_NUM=6
then when i export GDS file from ADS, I noticed that in some...
i worked on the LTCC Balun (I found on ADS examples)
then i exported to GDS, the export is done successfully bu this message appears
Then, i got a GDS file when i convert it to GDT file it doesnt contain any geometric info
I just selected all the structure then i choose Edit>component> Flatten then Edit>Merge
then when i exported GDS file there are no geometric information
Hello all!
I'm wondering what does ''Merge'' the structure mean and why we need to merge our design and when?
In some cases, I make my design flatten merged then I exported GDS file, I got an empty gds file? Why information are lost when exporting?
Hi all!
Substrate file from ADS contains many information about layers and stuck up, i didn't understand what BAL_NUM="4" refers to? could anyone help me?
I have another question if you can help me, gds file presents 2D information , im trying to read those information by converting the gds file to an ASCII file (readable), my design presents bondwires which isnt placed on xy plane, so there are no geometric information about wire bonds on GDSII...
