I have a full chip layout view now, but i can not see the cell layers in, but I can read the instance name.
Which command I use in mentor pyxis to see all layers in the layout design like ctrl+F and shift+F in candence virtuoso.

I was using cadence virtuoso for my entire career(last 10 years) and never worked in any mentor layout tool(except calibre verification)
Now my new project is going to start in Mentor Pyxis, I am not at all familiar with this tool.
I am feeling very difficult in doing layout and modifying layout...
the one terminal connection to the gate of the device will be in metal1. If it is a P-diode the other terminal will connect to VDD , N-diode vice versa. The second connection will be through well(not with metal)Thus we can connect the two terminals of diode.
I am using Cadence LE for doing layout.If I try to make summary report or tree hirachy list from 'design' menu an error window comes.The error is as follows
"Cannot create View file /tmp/Summarya27670"
I checked the permission to craete a file in /tmp/ folder. I have write permission in that...
The resistor matching is done for better resistor poly arrangement and spacing(it is process dependent ),but the sheilding is used to protect critical nets from crossing noisy signals.
I can't see the window size maximize/minimize button on right top corner of my layout window.
I am using IC6.1.4.500.2 version.
Is it the problem with virtuoso version or may i have to change any options ??

When i am opening a new window or a new pop-up window(example: if i am selecting an instance and pressing 'q' to see the properties of the selected instance) the new pop-up window is always shown minimzed , is it the problem with the tool or os.how can i solve it ???
but the metal lines(thin lines width=0um ie like border lines) are overlapped so we can’t deselect it by ctrl key. If we do so the unwanted layer will be deselected.
