pic16f877a timer
I am using an temperature sensor on the PIC16F877a and im updating an LCD screen every minute..
I was wondering what i had to set my timers to, to have interrupts every minute to update the screen with the temperature.
Im using a 20Mhz clock and whichever timer...

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this IC. I was wondering if it would be possible to use this along with the PIC16F877A to get True RMS Voltage, Current and Power. I've never used it before so any info from someone who has used one or knows about it would...
If i wanted to measure and display 120VAC (Voltage, Current, Power, AC Wave, etc...) from a receptacle in my house using a PIC16F877A. What would be the most economical and simplest approach? This is for a class project so I was just curious.
If I want to recitify 120VAC to VDC for comparator op amps and send out a signal to a pic to turn on a DC Relay.
How would I go about doing this with a bridge rectifier (what size or types of components) and what would the calculation conversion be to calculate how much VDC it will be rectified...
I would have the windmill going into a comparator Op Amp that will send a +5V signal or -5V signal out depending on the voltage coming in. So my basic understanding of how it works is that;
If Windmill >= 120VAC then the Op Amp will send out +5V
If windmill <120VAC or so then the op amp will...
Hey guys,
For a school project we are building an automatic transfer switch system that will switch between Hydro power and another alternate AC source, in our case a windmill.
Basically what we want to accomplish is we want to feed power from hydro and if our windmill is supplying enough...
