What does single tap channel mean?

Re: single tap channel Thanks! 1, when u want to model the frequency selective channel ,multi tap required! For flat fading, only single tap needed! Single or multi tap depends on your symbol interval and channel delay spread 2,how many taps should be considered. Mm ,,the question have...

What does single tap channel mean?

Re: single tap channel Totally wrong! single tap still means u receive signals from a lot of path!! The receiver get a lot of signals from different paths, but all they come at the same time, so the signal do not suffer frequency selevtive fading!! that's the insight of single tap model of...

how to implement E[x] in matlab?

expectation in matlab actually, mean() function do the time average! the definition of E(.) is E[x]=∑xif(xi)! so amihomo is right!!! we often use time average instead of ensemble average if the random process is ergodic!!

The concept of normalization used in communications system

Normalization ? Hi I think Normalization mainly used for Fair Comparison!! When we compare two communication schems,we should make sure they have the same power! In matlab simulation,we always do normalization in order to adjust the SNR easily! Any mistake please correct me! Good Luck!
