linux Hspice installation
[Hi,
I tried to run hspice in a linux box but got the error message "...libc++-libc6..." that I couldn't figure out what it means. Can someone help me?
thanks,
First, I'm not saying that L-Edit is a bad program; I just mention a problem that I had.
I too thought that it was an GDS export/import problem but, when I imported the GDS into Cadence and Magic, I didn't have any problems. That's when I suspected about software problem. it really happened!

My experience with Tanner is mixed.
It has very good tools (I like T-Spice) but, on the other hand, if you have to shift from unix to windows frequently with your work, you may get into trouble. For more than once I had problems when I imported layouts done in unix into L-Edit (vias that were...
I run some tests and got mixed results for HSpice, using the same machine (P4, 2.8 GHz - dual boot). For some circuits, winXP were faster but for others, linux (FD2) were faster. I think it depends how the OS is handling the different process running at the time of simulation.
