Hi, I would like to test the performance of the MICS band (403MHz) implantable antenna.
Is there a ready made/off the shelf mimicking gel or some liquid which has the same electrical properties as human tissue?
Any manufacturer or supplier that I can look for?
Thanks
If this is the case then how we gonna have a very small antenna that resonate at 403MHz if we were to put the antenna inside a capsule and then immerse in tissue? or this is just a simulation error? which we should simulate just the antenna and not with the capsule?
Nope, nothing changed. Just that the antenna needs to have direct contact with medium with high Er value(example human tisuue Er=46.7). If I put the antenna inside a capsule with low Er, and after that this capsule is immersed in medium with high Er, it will not work this way as the resonance...
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the info. The antenna design by Kiourtni & Nikita indeed very small. I have tried to do some simulation using CST MWM and found something.
The antenna will have good response at 403MHz if it is place inside human body openly without any casing/capsule. If I include a...
Hi Mark, yes I did look through all the antenna at this website **broken link removed**
but most of them are too big as i need the antenna for medical device which is very small and able to implant into human body.
Any other suggestion?
Hi all,
I would like to design a flexible PCB antenna which will be use in mobile device, may I know what type of material or substrates which is suitable for such design?
Or is there any other better recommendation of antenna design for mobile device?
Thanks.
Not shield. Meaning if I have a PCB antenna, when I simulate just the bare PCB the directivity is about 6dBi and Total efficiency is 0.5
When I place the PCB antenna inside a casing, the simulated result is the directivity becomes 4dBi and total efficiency become 0.8
Just want to understand how...
I am using CST microwave studio for my PCB antenna simulation. The directivity is about 6dBi and Total efficiency is 0.5
When i try to simulate the PCB antenna inside a casing, the directivity becomes 4dBi and total efficiency become 0.8
Can anyone help to explaine this phenomena? Thanks
Hi, I am doing some measurement on a PCB antenna. May I know where should I place the antenna so that the measurement result will be more accurate?
On table? wood? plastic?.....etc or hanging freely on air? Thanks!
