Greetings,
As mentioned in PCI 2.2 spec, the PCI I/O space size for a target device is determine by sending FFFFFFFFh to the base address register and read back the register value which hardwired to 0 (ground) for lower few bits to determine the I/O space size. Only then the actual base address...
conventional PCI transaction during start-up. How it wor
Hi MicroKernel,
Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the late reply. I take some time to understand more about the PCI protocol before posting question here.
Firstly, I using Lattice CPLD to implement the PCI interface from using schematic...
Hi MicroKernel,
Thanks for the reply.
Are the device ID and Vendor ID stored in memory location 0000H? Mean that during address phase, Bios will send 0000H to the device and read the VID and DID stored at this location.
I doing the hardware implementation at this moment, but still unable to...
Hi
I had read some part of the Mindshare book about PCI system architecture. But I do not really understand what happen during PC start-up. In order to read the Vendor ID and Device ID, the data transaction also need to follow the timing diagram as shown in below ?
I do not have the device...
Hi All,
I browse through the internet, but i hardly understand how to build a PCI driver. So is it possible to treat PCI slot as ISA slot. What I mean is can use the _INP and _OUTP function to send data through PCI slot ?
My device application may not so complicated, I just want send data and...
Hi All,
I have learned a lot from you all even with this simple topic. Thanks to all electronic experts here in this forum for the generously share your knowledge. Hopefully I can be like one of you guys in future.
Anyway, back to the topic, I found this sine wave generator very stable and...
Hi LvW and FvM
Thanks you very much for the enthusiastic guide.
**I measured using oscilloscope.
**It is dual supply.
Since it is the mistake to use LM324. Hence can you help to recommend other OP suitable to meet this spec ? How can we know from datasheet that an OP has class A or class B...
Hi
For the GIC, everything is look fine except I keep getting this deadband/plateau. (Figure below) How can I fix that ? Could it be coming from Op Amp offset ? I only have LM324 to implement the oscillator.
Best Regards,

Thanks for all the heartwarming reply and help.
Basically I had been assigned to implement a sine wave generator to do burn-in test for a analog chip. Therefore generated sine wave with 5% THD is acceptable.
Hi FvM, I would like to know what is function generator approach ? Either it is using...
Hi
I have tried on the suggested single resistor tuning wien oscillator with split supply. I run the simulation, it seen can be done.
Practically we can get the sine wave, however when the resistor is tuned, the signal amplitude decrease and the frequency decrease. And also the tuning range...
Hi
Thanks you IanP. I get the circuit working perfectly. Below is the final circuit that work for me with Vpeak-peak 10V.
However, I can I modify the wein-bridge oscillator into single resistor tuning oscillator ? I do not want use to stereo potentialmeter to achieve the tunable frequency...
