Hi friends,
I need some papers on the techniques for increasing the range in radio communication(long range). The constraint my professor has put is that I can't change power levels and the antennas. Rather, I need to focus on techniques to increase the range related to the follwing:

Hi buts101,
At many areas field trials for employing Wimax are underway.
Check it out in your country.Wimax can be a good option but
see if the infrastructure etc are in place and and other issues
regarding feasibility in your area as others have mentioned.
Re: CDMA simulation
Hi Roshdy,
go to the file exchange section here https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral
and run a search.
u'll find a few m files on cdma.
I have gone thru this stuff a couple of weeks ago...It was really helpful(though more detailed descriptions would have been better).
Have u seen the m file **broken link removed**
When i read it it created a few doubts.I consulted the notes given in the site, but but still these things were not...
bertool tutorial matlab
@tmltanml : i am sorry to say your attachment doesn't contain any stuff on BERTool.
@m_llaa : biterr is only useful for getting the ber balue for a set of data..but i need a plot with varying snr..I had written a function for the same purpose as the biterr does(by using...

The speed that u see while downloading is given in KBPS(kilo bytes ps) and not kbps (kilo bits ps) [in both IE and firefox..and probably in all other browsers]..So I
think ur connection is ok as 7 K Bytes PS ≡ 56 K bits PS -the max possible speed with normal dialup.
8psk simulink
It's up to u to decide wht is to be done.Building a simulink model is relatively much easier...just explore a bit and u can create it in a while using the in-built blocks.
For m file u'll have to translate the algo into matlab code...a bit tough but u'll have to...
Hi friends,
A simple problem for u guys...
Can anybody help me in using the BERTool in MATLAB.
Say I have the transmitted and the received/demodulated bitstreams(0/1s),
then how do u get the BER plots using the BERTool ?
matlab 8psk
Also , you need to normalise the sequence with a factor depending on your specifications and the pulse shaping filter afterwards.
If you want to generate the 8 psk waveforms you can use the definition to yield the waveforms : √(2Eb/Tb) *g(t) *cos(2Π*Fc*t +2n*Π/8) over t a symbol...
matlab awgn
When u talk of an AWGN channel ( with no other assumptions ), it simply means a channel that simply adds AWGN to the signal.... no delays and no attenuation is considered...But still it is a simple channel model...Off course, this doesn't happen in practice...So there are other...
8psk matlab
-ur i/p sig before psk modn is a string of 0/1 .
-Take three bits at a time , compare with the 8 possible cominations of 0 & 1 taken 3 at a time i.e (000,001....111)
-set the next element of 8psksig array(initially it is blank) to be equal to (x+iy) where (x,y) E {-1,0,1} depending...
awgn matlab
there is an inbuilt awgn functon in matlab...so u can use it to add AWGN to the i/p sig.see help for usage
else u can generate the complex awgn by simply rand(1,n)+j*rand(1,n) and then add it to your signal.
