a statistical theory of mobile-radio reception
I once read it in library and I think it's too old that no electronic version is available. I think you are interested in channel modeling and many books recently published represent the same CLARK model.
One reference book is : Wireless...
variance spectral density
Acturely AWGN does not exist in reality because AWGN should have constant PSD and infinity bandwidth, which will lead to an ridiculous result that AWGN has infinity power.
When we consider white noise we always constrain it into some specific bandwidth B (SSB...
This matrix is usually used for mathematical analysis which reveals the BEST results under some assumptions. In real implementation adaptive algorithoms are more attractive which avoids matrix calculation and inversion.
uncorrelated awgn
The answer is "NO". Distribution does not concern anything about time or frequency. Gaussion noise can have any power spectrum shape, and the very special one of it is white.
It depends which point you begin from. At least several mathematical books should be in your bookshelf such as matrix, stachastic process, further reading contains the signal an system, etc.
channel mse estimation
In OFDM channel estimation, channel is estimated in frequency domain. Is MSE of the estimation calculated also in frequency domain?
And if in fast fading OFDM channel, ICI exists and channel cannot be represented in frequency domain (symbol by symbol) correctly, how...
digital matched filter
For a matched filter, although the input noise is white, the output of it is not. However, many papers talking about communication signal processing assume that n(t) at the output of the matched filter is Gaussion and WHITE. Is that right? Or just for simplicity?
wireless communications
Which specific area are you interested? PHY level or MAC level or even higher? So only if you could give the specific topic can one help you.
Re: eye diagram
The reason that the beginning 1000 data points are omitted in the receiver side is
that filter delay should be considered and thoses beginning points should be deleted .
EYE = zeros(700,1000);
EYE[:] =xt_Rx(1001:1000+700*1000);
These two lines indicates that EYE is a...
Re: new subject in uwb
It's a hot topic currently. Lots of areas are related to UWB, such as ST coding, pulse shaping, equalization, multiple access, LNA and mixer design.
Channel estimation is implemented to obtain the transfer function of the real
channel, which is necessary for non-differential modulated OFDM systems, such
as IEEE 802.11a.
eg.
d is the transmitted data before IFFT and d' is the received data after
FFT. Then
d' = d * H, where H is the transfer...
