Using power plane as return path is same as using ground plane. I don't see why there will be more signal integrity issues (reflection noise, crosstalk,emi/emc) versus ground plane.

What I learned is that it's not backward compatible. For example, a schematic file (.ffs) from Hyperlynx v7 won't be recognized by v6. The crazy thing is it seems Hyperlynx v7 won't save in v6 format either?! Wish I am...
