Voltage induced on a metal plate in free space??

Hi and thanks for the response. I understand what you're saying and I know that I can simply rectify the voltage induced upon the plate but my main query is how would you couple any such meter/circuitry to the plate. Now I'm thinking some form of transformer coupling might be an option? Just...

Voltage induced on a metal plate in free space??

Hi All, Looking for some ideas or techniques as I would like to measure the voltage induced on a square metal plate in free space. Its not so much about the measuring equipment but more how I can couple to the plate. I considered cutting a slot in the plate and basically turning the thing into...

    Frequency doubling, quadrupling?

Thanks for the input Biff. Yep the frequency doesn't need to shift much at all so I can provide narrow filtering. So I can x4 in one go. That simplifies things a bit :D. Cheers, Tinx.

    Frequency doubling, quadrupling?

Hi All, I have a 2.5GHz synthesised source and I want a final signal of 10GHz. Now I can double twice to achieve my final frequency or I can quadruple in one swoop. What's the best way to go? Obviously doubling twice will involve a bit more work such as additional stage and filtering at 5GHz...
