phd thesis on fractal antennas
Dear Vfurlan,
I will strongly suggest that you can stack up your antennas (with nilon spacers) for up to four layers for wider bandwidth. It has been investigated by only few people in IEEE Transaction.
Probably you can try with different shapes of patch antenna...
Hello there,
I'm not sure whether there is equations or formula to find the slot dimension.
If you search through all the results from IEEExplore, you'll see the optimized value for most of the antenna design.
For aperture coupled feeding technique for patch antenna, all you need to do is a...
Hello Dowjones,
Thanks for your reply. Really need to get some books and see information about it.
So then by using a linear probe in an anechoic chamber, do we need to divide the measurement into two steps? Meaning measure the amplitude on right hand first, followed by left hand..and then...
Hello guys,
Do you have any idea on how to measure the radiation pattern of circulary polarized antenna..?
Any important parameters that need to consider/ take into account if we want to design a 'good' antenna with circular polarization?
Looking forward to hearing comments and suggestions :)
TQ
You can always refer to:
Handbook of Microstrip Antenna
James JR and PS Hall
You can see lots of microstrip antennas inside there! I think somebody has uploaded this book (photocopy I guess) somewhere in this forum.
cross pol
Hi Dave,
How about the relation between E-co, E-cross with E-theta and E-phi?
Can I know the direction of current flow for microstrip patch antenna (simple square patch) ?
TQ!
Hello,
It's difficult to do what you called 'simulation of microstrip line using MATLAB', but if you just want to have a width and length value, for certain impedance and electrical length at certain frequency, you could get it from transmission line calculator from Microwave Office or ADS...
what is co polarization
how can we know the polarization of an antenna?
Is the polarization for all microstrip patches are the same?
So, the cross-pol can be done by rotating 90 degree of the transmitting or the receiving antenna?
Thanks all!
Hi all,
Just got query on the power to be transmitted through transmitting antenna (in dBm) from signal/microwave generator... +10dBm is large enough?
I'm using horn antenna as Tx (ranging from 1-10GHz). Any idea?
Thanks! ;)
