Hi
I would like to optimise a microstrip line to get certain impedance ( let's say 90 ohms) using CST. What result name I should select from the optimizer goal?
Thanks
Ammar
Hi everyone,
I would like to measure Zo of a microstrip line with a known length and a substrate with a known permittivity.
Could you please give me a practical procedure for measurement using VNA?
Thanks a lot
Hi
I'm working on designing a 2.4GHz antenna array for WiFi applications, I want to know what are the general criteria for selecting the substrate ?
Thanks a lot
Hi
I'm working on designing unequal power Wilkinson power divider. I need to implement a 295-ohm microstrip line. The problem is that it's not practical to implement.
I found two main techniques to increase microstrip/stripline impedance.
1- using offset double-sided parallel strip line
2-...
Hi
I need to design a microstrip line acts as a resistor with minimum capacitance and inductance. *Are there techniques to reduce inductance and capacitance for straight*microstrip line ?*
Thanks a lot
Ammar
To verify what G4BCH said.... I used same power divider parameter with wider straight structure and it behaved similarly to what the big angled power divider as you can see in the attachments.

Thanks for your reply guys.
As far as I know, theoretically the voltage drop across these resistors should be zero, then I think the length doesn't matter.
G4BCH...Do you have a reference can prove that it should be zero?
Thanks a lot
Hi
I'm working on designing an ultra wide band power divider (3.1-10.6GHz) , I've done a basic structure which is the first attachment then increased the angle between the power divider parts as can be seen in the second and third attachment. The issue is that the return loss and insertion loss...
Hi
I'm designing reconfigurable RF power divider for ultra wideband application, looking for three poles three throw RF SMD switch operate below 11GHz. I need to control three ports at the same time and I don't want to build three separate switching circuit.
Has anyone come across such...
Hi
I'm working on a research to design reconfigurable ultra wide band application (3.1-10.6GHz) and need to use MEMS switches with my design.
Can anyone suggest MEMS switches part numbers or suppliers ?
Thanks a lot
HI
I am designing a three stage Wilkinson power divider for the band 2-6 GHz.
Could you please tell me what are the practical minimum values of return loss, insertion loss and isolation the I should achieve ?
Also, are there other parameter I should consider in my design ?
Thanks
Thanks edf for your reply.
All armed are 90deg ar 4.5 GHz.... I did parameter sweep but for several parameters but the insertion loss slightly changed .
I still do not know how increase the insertion loss.
Thanks edf for your reply.
I did not understand fully what you ment by "make sure your TLines are 90 deg" do you mean the connection between the input port and the first section ? if yes. I also designed other model for the power divider and cot similar insertion loss. please check the attached...
