In PULSE - Layout Considerations for Pulse Ethernet Magnetics and Ethernet Connector Modules note it says:
"For EMI consideration, this distance must be
25mm (approx. 1 inch) or greater for both
discrete and integrated magnetics."...
Thanks FvM,
So assumingly that all traces are terminated correctly and controlled impedances,
The,
max distance 1 < 10cm
max distance 2 = no restriction
max distance 3 = no restriction
Correct?
Can you point me to a good article / application note ?
Hi,
I want to designt a fast ethernet line (1 Gigabit)
My SOC (xilinx Zynq) has to be connected to a PHY then to magnetics and finally to a RJ45 connector
SOC-------------PHY-----------Magnetics---------RJ45
|---distance 1---|---distance 2---|---distance 3---|
I know that thumb rule talks...
How do I take into consideration wire length, if it is not straight? (in case of long-distance transmission)
What are the possible damages in case of not using an antenna at all (or not fitted antenna - longer/shorter)
Thank you, guys.
This is enlighting.
The reason I am asking of a wire-based antenna is that of placement issues.
I have a minimal PCB design, and thus I want the antenna will be placed out of the PCB.
So, the conclusion - an 82mm length wire Will do the job?
Is a specific wire is recommended...
Hello all,
I have a communication system based on a 915MHz carrier wave.
The communication is for less than 1 meter.
No need for PA in the system.
What are the options for the antenna in the circuit
10 simple wire soldered to the PCB transceiver (wire - 50 ohm)
2) Chip antenna
3) PCB antenna...
I am interesting to connect an industrial wireless (BT) head set to my controller and to stream music to the headset.
What are the options for audio BT transciever ?
It should have interface to an external host to send data (audio) via SPI/I2S .
Thank you Klaus,
So you don't see any problem to transmit data modulated on ISM frequencies (with wavelength above 30cm) for low distances (below 10cm)?
Can anyone tell me what is the connection between wavelength and transmission distance?
for example transmission wavelength of 30cm for a distance of 10cm?
