Circuit to capture the motor inrush current

The same motor was tested in an industrial research association by the automotive industry. That's how i know the actual value. But these tests are very expensive. Hence , we are trying to replicate it in our lab. The circuit i posted i got it from the document International Standard ISO...

Circuit to capture the motor inrush current

Hi, I am trying to capture the inrush current waveform of a pmdc motor in an oscilloscope. When the actual inrush current value is 75A, we are able to capture only 44A with set up shown below. The artificial network used is a RLC filter circuit. Please suggest any other alternative arrangement...

Sorry for that....I hope it's ok now...

    Heat sink for MOSFET

I used a schottky SiC diode- STPSC1206D(600V,12A ).I didnt use a snubber circuit nor heat sink. Can it be the reason? Is there any other possible reason?? MOSFET used is SPW17N80C3(800V,17A).

    Heat sink for MOSFET

**broken link removed** Here i have attached the schematics of the circuit developed. While doing hardware, at the gate of mosfet , a 20 ohm resistor was connected. Also, the secondary terminal of inductor connections which are used to give Vcc to UC3854 was removed and an external dc supply of...

    Heat sink for MOSFET

Hi all, I would like to know whether it is compulsory to use heat sink for MOSFET or boost diode in PFC circuit. I have used UC3854 IC for switching the MOSFET in the boost converter. A 20 ohm resistor was connected in series to the gate. 17 V Vcc was given to UC3854 IC. Is there any...

BLDC motor controller- Hall sensor placement

how does it affect the speed. How can you prove it?Can u explain the logic behind it

BLDC motor controller- Hall sensor placement

But u didn't mention about the relation between angle and speed. Is it possible to switch a 3 phase bldc with 2 hall sensor ? What is the programming logic?

BLDC motor controller- Hall sensor placement

How exactly does the angle between each hall sensor affect the speed of a 3 phase BLDC motor. Is there any formula connecting the two? It was observed that speed reduced with increse in angle. But i couldn't understand why. Is it because of the programming done in the controller? How exactly is...

controller for single phase bldc motor

Hi all, Here i have attached the controller circuit schematics(done in LTSpice) for single phase BLDC motor. The basic working is that based on the hall sensor signal, the current output of H bridge inverter should reverse. Across points A & B we'll be connecting the motor. Here the pulse...

power supply for motor controller (emi filter inductor, boost inductor)

Hi all, I am designing a motor controller for bldc motor(540W, 230V). While designing the power supply section i am using an EMI filter section and a PFC boost section too. In EMI filter a common mode choke is used. my doubt is what should be the current rating of the choke. In some design...

    BLDC motor controller

Hi, I am developing a bldc motor controller and is in the starting stage. In one of the design file , i have seen the input stages are as follows: supply, emi filter, boost converter, phase shifted full bridge converter, synchronous rectifer and then comes the inverter. My doubt is why cant we...
