Can anybody help me in differentiating between the different types of hold violations?
Is it possible that only one transition (0->1 or 1->0) be affected by hold violations?
Also, is it possible for a full pulse to be gobbled up because of (single/multiple) hold violations?

It is also possible that the diode you are testing is faulty? What is the voltage rating of the ohmmeter you are using? Is the voltage at the probes sufficient to forward bias the diode?

I am makin a sine wave generator using LM 101A and LM 111. However, I find that IC LM101A gets heated when the power is turned on and the output is distorted.
