I am new with stepper motors and have a confusion.
I want to use a bipolar motor. The tutorials on net show pulse sequences for 4 or 8 steps. This means rotate angle of 90 or 45 degrees respectively. While practical motors i see have step angle of 2-3 degrees.
Do they need unique pulse...
For my project, stepper motor will be used to rotate thermostat knob.
My problem is i want stepper motor to rotate to the shut off position of knob. When the knob is not moving(obviously it has some shutdown point), stepper motor should stop rotating.
Is there any mechanism for microcontroller...
thanx for your suggestions. the problem was , CE pulse coming from microcontroller was not giving 0 volts at voltage level 0. so ISD2590 sometimes accepted this voltage as low pulse and sometimes not. When i gave 0 volts from ground it worked fine.

i'm stuck in quite a simple problem. what i have to do is just take output voltage from lm335 temperature sensor and subtract 3 volts from it using lm741 subtractor.
the problem is:
when i measure LM335 sensor output standalone(not connected to subtractor circuit) it works...
