A plain mobile phone can be charged with the 'usb' adapter plugged in to the 12VDC cigarette outlet in an automobile. But noticed that in my case, takes longer time than using the other adapter/charger from the 120VAC at home.

Why conductors from lightning rods-to-ground are not plain iron reinforcing bars as used within concrete, but copper ? Is it the extra profit of selling it in copper by installers...

Which one do you believe is the reality ?
- Lightning rods do attract lightning and if there is a strike, current is conducted to ground.
- Lightning rods do repel lightning protecting a building from being striken.
- It is unpredictable. Can work both ways as above.
- Nobody knows...
A wrong answer worth trying if pleases you : Use 120VAC wiring two lamps in series and evaluate if performs reasonably well.

No. LEDs cannot withstand more than 5V Peak Inverse Voltage before the leak towards avalanche failure. "

If yes,
2.- Will the circuit work more 'relaxed' on lower voltages from a single diode ?

Hi . If I understood something, a scuba tank (~3000+ psi) with a regulator can provide a very long breath for nearly anything; the energy contained can be harnessed with ease for time or flow or pressure needed and the sum of them too.
