I'm replacing a defective SCR (TO-92). It has PCR406J printed on it. When shopping, I've noticed that there are some advertised as just PCR406, some with an S on the end and some with J. What does the suffix S or J (or none) mean?

This is usually found toward the back of the datasheet and could be a package code or a quality screening grade / temp range. It varies by mfr

Hi,

often the marking on the device gives a hint on the manufacturer. Maybe a logo.
