Tristate Buffer or MUX, control the input to the BUS

Hi

If we use a series of tristate buffer to control the input to the BUS, and we can achieve same function with the MUX too so is there any kind of advantage in using the MUX instead of tristate logic.

Muxes are usually easier from an ATPG standpoint.
