I use one dell PowerEdge 2850 and wish to use redhat 8, but I can't install the SCSI controller card(PERC 4e/di) driver correctly, so I have to install redhat EL3(I'm using WS3) . Now the environment is set up including some EDA tools. When I run Tetramax (tmax32), I met crashes with a 'core dump' at startup. How should I resolve it? Some one said redhat EL3 is good for EDA use, but why do I meet such problem? Which EL release is the best for EDA? Thanks for your help!

Have a good day!

Best Regards,

Harryzhu

Why can't you install the SCSI card? Does it have Red Hat drivers?
