Signal Projection on other Signal

Hello , i am working on biosignals and need to project signal to other signal same dimension say 200 data points both of them can any body guide me how to do that , some advise me for dot product but when i apply dot product of 1 x 200 with other same dimension signal [1 x 200]' the results is only one value not the new signal .
can some body help me with that. :-(
