Hi all!!
Generally a pole is defined as the frequency where the transfer function tends to infinite. But when we do the bode plot, of the transfer function, the magnitude response it drops by 20db/decade (does not go to infinite).
What is the confusion...????:bang::bang::bang:
 

As I recall the negative feedback loop may have zeros, but the transfer function of P(s)/Q(s) for the positive input is often 1/(1+H(s)) thus the overall gain never reaches zero unless H(s) =-1

Nope. Presumes that the poles are real frequency values. The poles of useful electronic circuits with stable transfer function are complex or pure imaginary.
