Hi All,

I am trying to estimate coupling bandwidth between two resonators using Ansoft HFSS tool. Image attached.

2 pole box resonators.png

Ripple bandwidth for my design is 80 MHz. I am keeping aperture size between two resonator boxes as variable {aperture width (ApWd)}. Plotting S21 for various aperture width values.

As we know "The coupling between the resonators results in a displacement Δf of the resonance frequencies, thus the coupling is Δf MHz and is referred to as the coupling bandwidth."

Using HFSS I want to plot coupling bandwidth Vs aperture width (ApWd).

Is there any way using some equations to get frequencies corresponding to peak values of dB(S21) and find delta between two frequencies and then plot it against aperture width ?

Thanking you in advance.

Cheers,
Antonio
