Job DescriptionCandidates must have a strong hands-on background, experience and familiarity with RF, analog and mixed-signal design tools and flows in a multi-technology environment, including strong experience working with Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Agilent, and other EDA CAD tool environments.Responsible for installation and customization of CMOS, RFCMOS, SOI and SiGe process technology design-kits (PDK's) as released by major Silicon foundries worldwide.Day-to-day work will include; troubleshooting, debugging, fixing, customization, validation, qualification, testing and support of new EDA software tools and design flows, design-kits, providing expert front-line CAD engineering support across multiple product platforms.Additional responsibilities include benchmarking of new EDA tools and platforms, streamlining of EDA tools and design flows, identification of gaps and areas needing improvement, working with technology project management and directly with foundries to resolve issues, version control and configuration management at local and remote sites, working with IT engineers and license administration personnel in support RFMD's Product Design Engineering at large and Corporate Engineering requirements and needs.Sound experience and understanding of CMOS, RFCMOS, SOI and SiGe process technologies is required.Familiarity with industry standard models such as BSIM, PSP and HICUM is highly desirable. Strong simulation, functional and physical verification (LVS/DRC), parasitic extraction and field simulation background highly preferred.Required ExperienceBSEE, or BSCS minimum and a minimum of five years of work experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Cadence Skill Coding/debugging, Mentor Graphics, and Agilent ADS AEL experienceLinux, Unix, Perl, Python programming
