Hi everyone,
I have a doubt about designing a 3-way power splitter for a 3-stage Doherty power amplifier. As the 3-stage Doherty amplifier turns on the auxiliary amplifiers sequentially the large-signal input impedance changes with input power. Is it necessary to take the large signal input impedance variation into account for designing a 3-way input power splitter? The 3-way power splitter is a passive device and it will only see the small-signal impedance of the 3-stage Doherty amplifiers. Therefore I want to clarify this doubt. If you please clear this doubt then it will be very much helpful for me. If you can suggest me a better way of designing this power splitter for this application that will be great. Thanks in advance.
