Hi, I'm designing a battery power system and i'm quite interested in using a Microchip TC1185 with a fixed voltage of 3v. What I'm wondering is if the regulator will still provide an output if the input drops below the low dropout voltage + the constant output voltage.

By this I mean I'll be using a 3.7v Li-Po battery but I don't want the output voltage to drop lower than the regulated 3v. How do I know the behaviour of the regulator under these conditions?

Hi,

Best information can give you the datasheet.

Look at the chatrs named "VOut vs. VIn"

Hope that helps

Of course! I can't believe I didn't think of that.

Thanks a lot!
