Xp is good as it gives the user the same look and feel with respect to older version. but WIN 7 is equally good as it has many good features like fast searching of files in harddisk. taking snapshoot of anything on the screen. But may need more space on harddisk.
It is difficult to get well verse with win-7, as the look and feel is completely different from its older version. It may take long time for us to get adjusted to using it. But overall performance wise win-7 is better than XP
