In ADS there are quite good examples of noise figure simulation of mixer ("Design Guide")!
As i remember it is NFssb=NFdsb-3db, from IEEE definition of SSB-Noise figure. They assume that there is no noise at the mirror frequency!
“Single SideBand Noise Figure is 3dB higher than a Double SideBand Noise Figure” .But hou to explain the result what is not 3dB higer ?
Yes in reality, but from IEEE the mirror frequency contributes no noise, it is noiseless! If there is a smaller difference than 3dB one explanation would be a different response of the mixer at the signal and mirror frequencies!
