What specifications is required to look for external devices such as motor, sensor and remote control receiver to work with a micro-controller board (processor)?? I'm student and currently doing a project involving programming...

By peripherals and drivers, what do you mean by that?

Ok u are-doing something we dont know what,so tell us what and send us circuit or block diagram of the device u making.
motor, sensor and remote control receiver, peripherals and drivers ... give us background .
what kind of student what u know about electronics and why u care about ext device if u r doing programming.
if its for general knowledge google will help...unless u want to learn electronics for four-five years .
good luck

Okay basically i'm an engineering student which happens to be not that good in programming. My project background is that i need to design a motor that can be controlled underwater by someone on the water surface probably with a digital screen controller. I must be able to control the motor at least at 3 different distances. I'm currently trying to find the components but it's so hard to find the right one...
