hot topics for communications paper

Hi there,
I want to work on a good subject to publish some papers.
What's your ideas about good and hot topics in communications?

P.S: I do my M.S thesis on NGN security (finished :2007),and also worked on sonar systems and active noise control.

Hi,

It is a very broad question and there are hundreds of thousands of different topics on which you can start your research but since you have a background on NGN I suggest you to start your research with studying different aspects and requirements on software defined radio (SDR) and next generation of mobile standards. Depending on your area of expertise you can work from the antenna to ADCs, low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) and so many other hot and state-of-the-art related topics.
