Ground patch on PWM chip is under the chip's body

how do you solder the ground patch of the LT3517 to the PCB...

as you can see it is underneath the chip itself, so i am unsure as to how i can get the soldering iron tip to it

gnd patch

tin (solder) your pads. flux over, Postion device and hot air reflow. Your devices pad may already be solder coated so you won't need any on the PCB pad, but make sure to flux.

You might want to make this your first device mounted.
