Hey all -

I have a layer stack that goes dielectric - groundplane - dielectric.

I want to pass a via from top to bottom, but since I don't want it to touch the ground plane, I will etch out a circle from the ground plane through which the via will pass.

I am not quite sure how to do this in Designer (I am good at HFSS, but I haven't messed with this much).

I draw a circle that is a little larger than the via, place it in the ground plane layer, and then what is the next step? Is this what the "negative" checkbox is for?
