Digital Command Control (DCC) on AVR

Hi all

Do any of you play with model trains and have built your own DCC decoders?
I found some PIC designs, but since I am more comfortable with AVR's I was wondering if anyone has already build an AVR based decoder before I reverse engineer / port a PIC one.

I have a AVR project for DCC that is in the works and am more than happy to share.
