CDMA Modem

I have a Chinese CDMA modem and i am facing the following issue:

This modem has the driver UART-seral interface from Sillabs. And now i connect the hyperterminal to the corresponding COM port

If i start calling the sim of this modem again and again, within 3-5 attempts the hyperterminal stops showing the ring (call) indication but i can hear ring sound on the calling phone? Now to get it back to working condition i need to close the hyperterminal session and start it again, now the modem works (i.e. without the modem itself being restarted)

So, i wanna know is this a issue with hyperterminal software, uart-serial driver or the modem itself? Though it seems to me this should not be an error with the modem

Many Thanks,
Surya:D
