hello

Can anybody explain me how "CAN bus support real time capability"
it has a priority based protocol so the highest priority message gets access to the bus first, i.e. knowing the maximum length of a message and the speed of transmission one can calculate the maximum length of time one would have to wait before the bus becomes available
compare this to a contenstion bus, such, as Ethernet CSMA/CD protocol, where bus access is probability based and in conditions of heavy traffic one may never get access at all!
