Calibre 2006 on Vmware

Hi! there:
I had my Calibre 2006 runing on RHEL4 stand alone linux maching. But error with RHEL4 installed under VMware. It always said license error, I changed the MAC address in the lincese file aaccording to the VMware eth0 address. Anyone have idea how to solve it? Thanks

Re: Calibre 2006 on Vmware

your license is tied to the mac address. you can not run it on some other mac id.
changing the mac address in the license file will invalidate the license file.
if your license is floating then you can still access it by defining the LM_LICENSE_FILE variable as portname@machine_name in the virtual box.

Thanks Hock! I generated the license with the vmware eth0 MAC address, but still say license error. I will try the floating license method you mentioned.
