uln2803 required external protection diode?

Hello
Please specify that where can I find serial ULN2803 type ICs?(with short circuit protected output power transistors,if possible)

Bye

I dont know your aplication, but toshiba has LED drivers that are serially loaded, constant current, 90mA/pin, 17V protected and avaialable in 8 an 16 outputs. You can drive anything from LED to relays if you use external diode protection.

Hi there,

The POWER LOGIC EIGHT BIT SHIFT REGISTER NC6B595 maybe what you're looking for. This chip works just like the 74HCT595 (outputs are low-side, open collector devices TTL-transistors with output ratings
of 15V and 200-mA continuous sink-current capability. Each output provides a 400-mA typical current limit at Tc=25. The current limit decreases as the junction temperature increase for addition device protection.).

The NC6B595 is a monolithic, high-voltage, medium-current power 8-bit shift register designed for use in systems that require relatively high load power. The device contains a built-in voltage clamp on the outputs for inductive transient protection. Power driver applications include light-emitting diode, relays, and other medium-current or high-voltage loads.

I remember that in several month ago someone introduced a chip from infineon (I guess) that have serial input and 8 channel power transistor output and suitable for digital output design like as PLC S7 outputs.(temperature and short circuit protection).
But I can not find that topic and that chip in infineon site.

to mbyka: I do not need uln2003 datasheet ,thanks
