Hi,

I want to learn what it's FIR Filter and how to desgin them.

Where to start?

Thanks

Oppenhiem and shefer is the place to start!!!

Proakis Manolakis book about DSP is the place to begin.

Check moving average. It i sthe simplest FIR,

But it can be realized with IIR structure eficiently . Can somone let me know it the moving average is actually FIR or IIR :)

i think its a simple type of finite impulse response filter bcuz it just has zeros and no pols

Hi
The best book to learn FIR filter is "Digital Signal Processing" by Oppenheim and schafer (chapter 5)

Digital signal processing - a computer based aprroach by Sanjit. K . Mitra is also a good book which contains MATLAB examples for FIR filter design
