Hello all . Need help from u guys ? I am trying to design a comparator for 10bit ADC SAR . I am using 0.35u technology proses . How do I adjust/or change the circuit design to be a 10bit comparator the able to handle diff Vin+ and Vin- ~ 1.5 mV .

Hope u guys can show which part to change , if possible with calculation example ?

Thx in advance .

You should better use two OP as pre-ampilifier, then latch.

Hello Jerry. Do u mean chnage the circuit design to latch type comparator ? Or add two pre-amp to input of current comparator with latch ?

Possible elaborate more ?

Thx in advance .

It is high resolution middle speed when design 10bit SAR comparator . latch comparator is low resoluation large offset. Usually, I use two low gain high speed op as pre_amplifier then connect latch.
The pre_amplifier amplify the signal large enough to latch comparator latched.
We can cancel pre_amplifier's offset, and the pre_amplifier's output is larger so the latch comparator' offset will not affect the final result.
All those discussion is not base on your circuit, as I don,t understand your circuit.
The above content only for your information. Detail you can reference some papers or book.
You can search them on internet. As I am on business in foundry of Taiwan about 2 months. There are not related material in my notebook.
