hey can u tell me which is the best book to go through for digital image processing

for eg. for shape/character recognition???

ive got some basic knowledge in digital signal processing

Hi
"Digital Image Processing" by Gonzalez & Woods
is an easy one.

"Fundamentals of Digital Image Processing" by
Anil Jain
is very impressive but a little old. 1989(?)

besides there are many useful links on web
e.g. https://ee.sharif.edu/~miap/
contains good survey papers, which you may find them useful.

hope it helped.
glad to answer other questions if any.
Armin

I've read "Digital image processing" by Gonzalez , it's good for beginer.

Check this website out: https://www.dspguide.com/

The DSP explanations are great, with less math. Although if are trained in signals and systems already and just need to take the jump to DSP, Understanding DSP by Lyons is supposed to be the best (haven't read it myself).

These are the books which helps u a lot as a beginner...
1>Andre Marion, “An introduction to image processing”, Chapman
and Hall, 1991.
2>Gregory A. Baxes, “Digital Image Processing, principles and
applications”, John Wiley & Sons, 1994.(very good book..but i donot have )
3>Edward R. Dougherty and Charles R. Giardina, “Image processing continuous
to discrete”, Prentice Hall, 1987.

digital image processing by gonzalez is good and u can also go for DIP by anil.k.jain

Another book that can serve to you is:

NI Vision Concepts Manual.

Digital Image Processing by Gonzalez & Woods is easy to understand.

Hi,

hereby i am attaching two very good material for you on Digital image processing and its applications.

you can get some lesson lectures for your starting.

u can follow this link to obtain some good books on Image processing:

yup :D DIP , DIP using MATLAB by Gonzalez 's are good to understand basics of DIP & to learn how to implement algorithms in matlab.

To understand the mathematics behind the DIP u should follow Anil K Jain 's text.

Digital Image processing by gonzalez and woods is a good book which is very easy to understand.

Download the Vision Resources Kit:
