hi.

if i want to route differential pairs with altium, it stucks too often.
For example it routes 1cm, then it stucks, and doesnt want to continue. even if the length matching is loose.

Sometimes i want to route 3mm but it tries to route 1cm and because there is a component 7mm away, it stucks, and doesnt route the 3mm.

Some cases if i try to route on the top layer, and there is a component on the bottom layer in the way, it stucks. It seems like if it thinks that the component is on the top layer.

So i have to route with normal routing. Or route a little piece, select the traces, then move the end of the traces to the right way. then the clearance will be the specified value.

It sounds like you have a rule conflict somewhere - probably in your clearance rules. If you are getting stuck, then interactive routing must be in the the "stop at first conflicting" mode. Try cycling the interactive routing to a different mode by hitting 'Shift R'. The other modes are "None" and "Walk around conflicting" - one of them may keep you from getting stuck. The other solution would be to try and find the rule that is causing the conflict, and modify it.

hello, me again. after 3 years, I still have problems with altium diffpair routing:

I try to route a diffpair from the dogbone vias under the bga. it starts routing the P on the selected inner layer, but it wants to route the N on the top layer from the BGA pad instead of from the via.
The bus is made of 40 diffpairs, i have to route them out on 3 layers. I cant force 1 routing layer, and also the fanout is abviously on top layer so i cant disable the top layer to be a routing layer.
