Changing signals level

I am making some modifications on a smartcards reader. As you know a generic smartcard uses some signals like : Vcc (Power Supply), Rst (Reset), Clk (Clock), I/O (Input-Output), Gnd (Ground).

At the moment I can modify the level of this signal and this means , for example, that if I modify the Vcc to 4.2 Volt, then I have Rst,Clk and I/O to 4.2 Volt.

Now I can modify these signals to a level from 2 to 6 Volts, but what I need is to modify them from 1.6 to 5.5(or 6) Volts.

What I need is a circuit that uses my actual levels (from 2 to 6 Volts) to generate the new values (from 1.6 to 5.5 or 6). I mean for example that if I use 2 volt as input, I want 1.6 as output. Or if I use 6 volts as input, I need 5.5 as output.

But please remember that the I/O signals is bidirectional so, for this signal, the circuit must be bidirectional, and of course, I do not need a circuit made with resistors.

I hope I was clear to explain.

Regards...........
