problem in buying fingerprint sensor chip

I am doing a project in which i have to make a portable fingerprint acquisition device.
For that I chose the fingerprint scanning chip MBF200 by fujitsu which had an 8 bit microcontroller and an SPI interface. Its datasheet was very elaborative and self explanatory.But the problem is that I dont know where to buy it ? I a only want one chip for my project.

I searched google alot but I simply couldnt find any website to order it. I live in the united states. Can anyone please help me out in this regard. The rest of my project is almost complete and I desperately need this chip.

Also can anyone suggest some other such chip (with microcontroller interface and a self explanatory datasheet) which is easier to get.
 

actually, i begin to work on the same project to build a fingerprint recognition in hardware. Do you have any reference for the fingerprint matching? I try several open source fingerprint alg already but the result is not acceptable at all. The best one is about 20 FRR and 30 FAR. I wonder whether you could provide us some help?
 
Hi, I am working on a fingerprint matching system. I have done the munitiae extraction, but heve not done the matching. I have an idea on how to do it and will try and upload the papers. I recieved my mbf200, but haven't tried it yet. Can you give me any advise before I try to extract the image, because it seems to be a bit fussy.
 
can u please tell me how did u buy / sample the MBF200 ? is it soldered so that it can be used in the PCB directly.??
