plot3 matlab

hi everybody,
i need some help in 3D representation, i read the help , but i did'nt find the fonction that i need , this function represent signal in 3D like in this file
thannnnnnnnnnnnx

matlab 3d plot

no one can help meeeee:cry:
it's 3D function with a projection 2D used in Time Frq reprsentation

matlab plot3 points

Hi,

If you are talking about 3D plot in MATLAB, then use MATLAB function "plot3".

Yes thanks , i know , but i need an other function, plot3 don't show the difference between the several time-frq representation , but the one wich is this one, shows that, and i need that one

thanx

Hi

It is not a matter of which funtion to use, it is a matter of how you generate the values to plot. A plot is a collection of points, therefore, you need to generate these points inorder to get whichever plot,

It seems to me, that your plot is signal spectrum against time-domain signal, I mean it is the same signal, but I am not sure, anyway, I think you can start generate the time domain signal which is plotted in the y axis, divide the data into intervals then apply short fourier transform to any ot these intervals and plot them. there are many concepts about how to determine the size of the interval and the overlapped intervals, but they may not be relevant for you.

Another option I see is to employ the wavelet transform , yo indeed get the time-frequency characteirstics but it doesnt look like your plot.

hi,
thanx for your answer, but the pb is not how the plot the time-domaine or the frq-domaine, or the W-Ville representation , or how to get the appropriete interval in the time and frq domaine, the pb is how to get this plot ( Bcaz I tried with the plot3 a get a result but the representation isn't as good as this one)...

and for the wavelet transform the pb is that I study the repsentation of the non stationary signals but the Quadratic one...

Thanx
