equalizer fpga

actually i am an undergraduate electronic engineer and this year i am making my graduation project to design and implement an MP3 player, mp3 decoding and the equalizer will be implemented digitally using FPGA then i ll use an appropriate DAC to implement the amplifier on a PCB, i have done the mp3 decoding and i reasearched for the equalizer design. i decided to use IIR filters because of their better response and lower order than the FIR but my question is how can i realize the non-linear phase in the IIR, the noise, truncation error and quantization effects while implementing on FPGA, and if u would help me with some references in this area i would be so happy

hi there;

i have a project like this. i have to design equalizer with fpga board and project is like when i speak to the auido in it will take my frequency and it will show with leds how much my voice has frequency? could you help me for this project thanks?
