Technically, digital communication is transmitting digital data through various media tools, such as msn, email, and camera chat. With computer and internet have been extensively popularized, people are getting the message cross each other more easily and effectively, particularly for long distance information exchanged.

An increase in Technology has changed the way of living a life. Technology is connecting people together even if they are far away. Due to Technology, communication is now possible all over the world even with those who were once considered geographically remote. Digital Communication has changed the way the communication is done by means of telephone and in person. It secures the data being sent over the internet that is one way of digital communication practice in this world.

The quesion now arises that what is the digital communication practice that makes the communication possible all over the world in a secure manner?

There is no denying that digital communication has the significant power to maintain human behaviors and exchange information through machines. For example, E-mail is the most popular channel for communicating through internet, textual message are involved between two or more parties. E-mail arrives very quickly to express meaning in a variable fashion.

Internet is one way, digital communication can be done in the world. The question is what is internet? "The Internet is a worldwide collection of computer networks, cooperating with each other to exchange data using a common software standard. Through telephone wires and satellite links, Internet users can share information in a variety of forms". Internet is one example of digital communication. The communication now a days is being done by means of establishing some networks, whether local networks or world wide networks. And Internet is giving all this sort of communication. For example, through internet, a companies which is located in Melbourne Australia, can connect employee who is sitting in Pakistan for the exchange of information. And through Digital communication, it is more secure and more reliable. So, as a result, internet is one type of practice of digital communication.

There is another form of digital communication practice called digital libraries.
due to increasing amount of information in the libraries in the digital format, it is now necessary to educate and train the people so that they can be familiar with the digital world of the library. The information about which courses and training should be given to the librarians, can be collected by the feedback by practitioners in order to know what skills and knowledge is required.

Digital libraries are an emerging concept in the digital world. Depending on the nature and role of the libraries that is changed to new digital environment, some new applications and services has been developed. Digital libraries are different from traditional libraries in information providing.

"The evolutionary view of digital libraries has been addressed by practitioners in the library and information fields" (Borgman, 1999; Digital Library Federation, 1998).

ACTIVE STANDARD: E2339-06 Standard Practice for Digital Imaging and Communication in Nondestructive Evaluation (DICONDE) is another example of digital communication. This practice facilitates the interoperability of NDE imaging and data acquisition equipment by specifying the image data file format in commonly accepted terms. This practice represents a harmonization of NDE imaging systems, or modalities, with the NEMA Standards Publication titled Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine.

The goal of this practice is to provide a standard by which NDE image/signal data may be displayed on by any system conforming to the ASTM DICONDE format, regardless of which NDE modality was used to acquire the data.

This practice has been developed to overcome the issues that arise when archiving or analyzing the data from a variety of NDE techniques, each using proprietary data acquisition systems.

This practice proposes an image data file format in such a way that all the technique parameters, along with the image file, are preserved, regardless of changes in NDE technology.(https://www.astm.org/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/DATABASE.CART/REDLINE_PAGES/E2339.htm?E+mystore)

In the new century, people will be able to communicate more effectively through machines than face to face. Digital communication transfer information in codes and signals from one point to another no matter thousand of miles apart and communicate as effectively as people over the distance.
Meaningfully, to communicate is more than sending and receiving. Digital communication provides richness of information for people to make interaction, and distinctly from the passive way that people adapt to using books and libraries. In an ongoing process, it is belief that bringing something new to interaction in order to make active participation.

As the characteristic of modern communications technologies, internet has established new form of human association and emerge different kind of communities. With the internet, individual may never meet face to face, whereas they work highly collaboration online no matter where they locate on the globe. According to the notion of virtual community, it is not depending on some fixed geographical location. It is common claim that the acceleration of virtual communities has cultivated revitalizations of the notion of community.

Digital echocardiography is a practice of digital communication in medicines. According to the writer, it is the recording and display of echocardiograpgh in digital format. The recording can be achieved by digitizing the output from an echocardiogragh by using a frame grabber. This type of recording is called "digitized". A continues display of digital echocardiogragh can also be done in same manner as vidiotapes.

This technique of digital echocardiography has been used with stress echocardiography. Using the cine loop approach, a resting and stress echocardiogram can be viewed side-by-side simultaneously. This display enhances ones ability to analyze wall motion abnormalities. This development
in digital display has been a major factor in stimulating interest in this echocardiographic technique. In the United States, the majority of stress echocardiograms, are recorded and analyzed digitally. (DIGITAL ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY,Harvey Feigenbaum, M.D,White Paper 8/4/99)

Online chat send test messages to people in the same chat room in real time as a way of communicating to make interpersonal interactivity. chat rooms has the oldest form are called test-based variety. The most popular of this kind is Internet Relay Chat (IRC). However, there are also talkers and havens. The popularity of these kinds of chat rooms have waned over the years, but IRC's popularity still remains strong. Also a notable number of people were introduced to chat rooms from AOL and web chat sites. There are also graphical user interface text-based chat rooms which allow users to select an identifying icon and modify the look of their chat environment.

Internet fax which uses the internet to recieive and send faxes. Traditinally, sending a scanned copy of a document from one to another, over the phone network is involved in faxing. Generally, Internet faxing can refer to one of several methods of achieving this over the internet which with the advantage of reducing costs and increased functionality over traditional faxing.

The rapid evolution of wireless and optical fiber communication has created almost limitless opportunities for new digital networks of greatly enhanced capabilities. The networks of today, both wide area and local, have capacities and functionalities many orders of magnitude above those of a few years ago, and these capacities are expected to continue increasing at a rapid rate. The application requirements for networks are changing as rapidly as the technology. Networks must provide integrated service for mobile services, for high-resolution images and graphics, video, voice, and for conventional data. These evolving networks appear to have almost nothing in common with the data networks of the last 20 years, but in fact, many of the underlying principles are the same. Program 6.20s is designed both to provide a fundamental understanding of these common principles and to provide insights into new principles required for present day and future networks.

Digital communications refers to the field of study concerned with the transmission of digital data. This is in contrast with analog communications. While analog communications use a continuously varying signal, a digital transmission can be broken down into discrete messages. Transmitting data in discrete messages allows for greater signal processing capability. The ability to process a communications signal means that errors caused by random processes can be detected and corrected. Digital signals can also be sampled instead of continuously monitored and multiple signals can be multiplexed together to form one signal.

Because of all these advantages, and because recent advances in wideband communication channels and solid-state electronics have allowed scientists to fully realize these advantages, digital communications has grown quickly. Digital communications is quickly edging out analog communication because of the vast demand to transmit computer data and the ability of digital communiations to do so.
