hei wha is CDMA and what is the difference between wcdma

cdma dcs korea encode

Hello,

CDMA is the USA cellular system and WCDMA is the European UMTS or the 3G standard.

spread codes

CDMA

It is CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS technique where for each subscriber in a cellular network he got his own encryption code .It has better sound quality but has the disadvantage of not changing the service provider (wrt GSM technique )
It sends synchronisation frame to make the receiver synchronized to it . But has no reception technique of TV signals and Video .

WCDMA

It is WIDEBAND CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS technique (where for each subscriber in a cellular network he got his own encryption code ) and It is faster than the Old CDMA technique and is a 3rd generation mobile technique nowadys mostly used in JAPAN . It supports Video transfer , MMS and TV signal reception .
It is almost 4 times wider in bandwidth than 2G network techniques .

# Code Division Multiple Access. Refers to a multiple-access scheme where stations use spread-spectrum modulations and orthogonal codes to avoid interfering with one another.

# Code Division Multiple Access got its start as a military technology, developed by the Allies in WWII. Much like data sent over the Internet, CDMA conversations are "spread" when sent, then reassembled upon arrival. The technology allows multiple calls to be carried over one channel. # Code Division Multiple Access. An access technique in which every earth station may transmit at the same frequency and at the same time, but only at a given, limited power level. This technique requires that each earth station use a unique identifying code, which is modulated with the communications signal. # Code Division Multiple Access. A spread spectrum air interface protocol that uses radio frequencies to provide mobile telecom services, including interoperability with the wireline PSTN (public switched telephone network). A so-called "second generation" (2G) service, CDMA was developed in the US by Qualcomm and, with TDMA and GSM TDMA, is one of three main protocol implementations used in delivering PCS mobile voice services. # Code division multiple access is a modulation scheme whereby a fixed bandwidth is used by multiple users. Each users’ carrier is modulated with a unique pseudo random code, usually be means of either direct sequence or frequency hopping spread spectrum modulation. The signal of one user hence looks like noise to another user. Individual signals are extracted at the receiver by a correlation process (both the transmitter and receiver use the same pseudo random sequence).

Re: what is CDMA

Code division multiple access (CDMA) is a form of multiplexing and a method of multiple access that divides up a radio channel not by time (as in time division multiple access), nor by frequency (as in frequency-division multiple access), but instead by using different pseudo-random code sequences for each user. CDMA is a form of "spread-spectrum" signaling, since the modulated coded signal has a much higher bandwidth than the data being communicated.

what is CDMA

CDMA stands for code division multiplexing access. it uses a +1 for 1bit and -1 for 0 bit.
