Hi, I'm doing my project using Sony Ericsson GR47 GSM/GPRS module. Firstly I'd like to learn how to use UART in GR47, especially UART 1 and UART3.
I've written simple program(scripts) using M2MpowerIDE to control UART3, but nothing happen at all.
I also checked UART3 pin(Tx and Rx) using oscilloscope but again ocsilloscope didn't show anything.
I've written same script as in M2Mpower Application Guide, but I still can't use it.
M2Mpower IDE connected via UART1 and I'm sure my hardware is no problem at all.
It can send and receive SMS which I made using M2MpowerIDE, but I couldn't monitor it using UART3.
Any helps would be greatly appreciated... thank in advance.

I would like to clean the script inside my module but i still dont know how to do it.

Any help?

I have read some of the aplication notes from sonyericson.
I try to connect the GR47 to uart2 and uart 1 with max3232 but nothing happens.

script gr47

For downloading or deleting script using M2Mpower IDE, you should connect GR47 via UART1. UART 2 for debug.

To do it with M2mpower IDE:

-Make sure your GR47 connection with M2mpower IDE works well.
-Press "Stop Running Embedded Scripts From StartUp"
-Also " Stop Running Embedded Script"
-And then "Delete Embedded Script"

It depends on where you save your scripts. GR47 is able to save up 2 scripts(in slot 0 and slot 1) at the same time, but you have to run only one script.

No, I don't have dev.board for GR47. I don't use all GR47's functions so I think it's not necessary and it's quite pricey as well.
I use GR47 dev board myself.
What kind of project you want to make using GR47 ?

i would like to make a sms controller... nothing special.

Can i see you schematic of the development board?


i dont want to use the script of the GR47. I want to controll it by at commands. But o know that my gr was is own script and i want to clean it.

Added after 1 hours 1 minutes:

my gr was from a location system... it reads data from gps and send it over gprs...


if i could read the script maybe it help you...

I bought 3 Sony Ericsson GR47 GSM/GPRS module from e-bay but now I'm looking foar M2Mpower IDE. Can someone help me with this software?
